rdcrsn

Russell "rdcrsn" Carson started playing poker in university with friends for fun. Then he moved to online and lost small amounts for a while until developing his skills to the point that he could maintain an online bankroll. Belive it or not he actually started out playing limit holdem before switching to NL holdem mtt's. After finally making the switch to mtt's Russell's game really began to blossom. In February of 2006 he got his first major score taking down a tournament on Party Poker for $65,000. In the past 12 months or so he's had a number of huge scores including winning and chopping the 200r, 100r, 3rd in FTOPS 2.5k, 4th in FTP "Million", and 1st in Mansion 500k. Russell generally stick to a TAG approach for the most part but is quite capable of switching gears depending on stack size and table He has been ranked as high as 2nd in the pocketfives online rankngs and is now currently 8th.

TitanTom32

Tom "TitanTom32" Braband started playing poker with friends in high school. Various games turned into Hold 'em and then he started playing small stakes online cash games and was a losing player for a year or two before getting introduced to tournaments and picked up a $1200 score followed up by a 9k win in the full tilt 150 in November of 2006. Assassinato

My name is Alexander Fitzgerald, and online I go by the handle Assassinato. Right now when I am not travelling I split my time between Seattle and Seoul. I quit my day job when I was 18-years-old to attempt to make a living playing poker online. At the time I was playing $30 SNGs for from dusk till dawn. Over my first 1,000 MTT tournaments I had a -20% ROI, but once I began seriously studying with my friends I put up considerable results. In 2007 I final tabled the $20.00 rebuy multiple times with one win on Full Tilt, the $50.00 rebuy multiple times, the $100.00 rebuy multiple times with one win on Tilt, chopped the $200.00 rebuy on Stars, final tabled The Nightly Hundred Grand multiple times as well as the $55k on Tilt, the $10r multiple times, the $5.00 rebuy, won the Tilt $30.00 rebuy and finished 2nd place twice, and won the UB 11k twice, amongst other finishes. Additionally, I played and cashed in tournaments in the Philippines, Ireland, Italy, and Brazil. My new challenge right now is cash games, and I've been playing up to $5/$10 live and $3/$6 online. It is because I started as such a poor player that I believe anyone can become a professional with enough hard work, positive thinking, and study, and that is why I teach at pokerpwnage.com. When I'm not playing poker I like to read, work out, hang out with my friends, write, watch movies, play video games, go to concerts, check out different restaurants ,or just walk aimlessly throughout Seattle. I'm also a big fan of travelling and living in different places, experiencing new cultures, and writing about my experiences on the road.

Nsinger

I'm Nathan Singer and I go by nsinger on all the sites online. I've been playing poker for 6 years and as my main source of income for over four years now. I started out with $100 on partypoker and ground $5 sngs and small mtts for a long time and built a bankroll without ever having to redeposit. I played lots of no limit cash games at 1/2 and 2/4 pre UIGEA and then have focused more on mtts since that point. In the last year I've really focused on PLO and PLO/8 and crushed the mtts and lower limit cash in those games. Recently I won the Full Tilt Weekly $216 plo and then got 2nd in the following one as well as winning a Binion's poker classic PLO event in vegas. Last year I was ranked in the top ten in bluff's online tournament rankings for midlimit plo, midlimit plo8, and high limit plo.. I also have tons of experience playing 2/5 and 5/10 live games which are tremendously lucrative in the Bay Area where I live. I also love six max tournaments and have won every 6max tourney FTP and Stars spreads between $11 and $109 at least once. When I'm not playing poker you can find me playing ice hockey, hiking, or fishing.

HerschelW

Jerry "herschelw" Watterson is a 26-year-old professional poker player from Jacksonville, FL. Jerry started playing semiprofessionally in 2005 multitabling 2/4 through 5/10 stud cash games. He used these funds to provide income through college. In January '07 Jerry had the greatest success of his poker career so far finishing second in the live final of the moneymaker millionaire tournament winning $300,000. This tournament has aired on The Score television in Canada and was also aired in Europe. Over the past two years he has been playing professionally he's been dominating middle and at time upper limits on Pokerstars, Full Tilt, Absolute, Ultimate Bet, Doylesroom, and at times Bodog. He's been a solid winner on every site he's played and has focused on finding the best values online rather than pushing to play the highest limits. Herschelw has recently moved his attention to coaching with great success including one of his students winning an FTOPS event for $150k+ and another with 50+ final tables this year by June.

Chardrian

I began playing about 5 years ago when I was in law school at the University of Wisconsin. Due to poor bankroll management skills I was basically a break-even player up until last year. My wife and I moved from Wisconsin to California last year when she started her residency and as I was waiting the 4 months for my Bar results to come in we agreed that I could play poker fulltime during that wait. Fortunately, I made a 6 figure score when I came in 3rd in the FTOPS main event last August and with that my 'shot' at playing fulltime has continued (with the nice safety net of being able to practice law if poker doesn't work out). I do not put in the volume that other pro players do and although I play some of the bigger buy-in tourneys, I continue to play many low/mid-level tourneys as I believe they have great value. I have won many of the $26 freezeouts on Fulltilt as well as the $10 rebuys on both Stars and Tilt (I have also won at all of the levels above that up to the $163 on Tilt). I hope to provide some insight into how to play these lower/mid-level buy-in tourneys as well as the mental aspects that I believe are crucial if you want to move up in stakes.

After putting together some good months playing mtts including a $15,000 month in June 2006, he switched to playing exclusively sngs to ensure a more steady income. First starting of playing the $60 9 man turbos he found his niche playing 6 max sngs. Starting out playing $39 6 max's and worked up to $78's is currently ranked on the sharkscope leaderboard. In recent months he has moved up to the 119's and has a 14% ROI in them in just under 500 games. bballwiz currently has just under $50,000 profit on sharkscope and plans to finish top 5 in total 6 max profit for the year in 2008. Since joining Poker Pwnage, the pro's videos have vastly improved his mtt game as well. He has had several final tables in the first week of watching videos including a 1st place on a Full Tilt $26 mtt for $3,400. bballwiz hopes to expand his game to more of the live forum in the next year. Having played in many local card rooms for many years including running his own home game, he hopes to play some live big buy in tournaments in the near future. In his first trip to Atlantic City he took 2nd in a Borgata daily $150 for $2,300.

After grinding $.25/.50 for six months in late 2006, he got his first big MTT score in January of 2007 for over 7k, and soon started playing cash games as high as $5/10 online. His largest score to date is a first place finish in the $1k Monday for almost 70k in January of 2008, and has numerous high finishes in the 100 rebuys on stars, a 2nd place finish in the Wednesday 150k for 31k, and a Sunday major win in the Stars 2nd Chance tournament for 48k.
